The short version

Your measurements never leave your browser. There are no accounts and no stored calculator data. The site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and Google AdSense to serve the ads that keep the tool free; the contact form is delivered by Web3Forms. That's the complete list of third parties.

Calculator inputs

All stair calculations run client-side in JavaScript. The numbers you type are not transmitted to, or stored on, any server. Close the tab and they're gone.

Information we collect

• Usage data (automatic): pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, collected by Google Analytics 4 through cookies.
• Contact details (only if you write to us): the name, email address, subject and message you submit through the contact form.

We never collect calculator inputs, payment details, or precise location, and we don't sell or share any data for cross-context advertising of our own.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages are used, as described in Google's privacy policy. Opt out with the GA opt-out browser add-on or by blocking the googletagmanager.com domain.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, as described in Google's advertising policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA and UK see a consent message before any personalized ads load.

Contact form

Messages you submit are transmitted by Web3Forms to our mailbox so we can reply. We keep the correspondence only as long as needed to resolve your question, and we never add you to a mailing list.

Data retention & your rights

We hold no user database, so there is usually nothing to delete: analytics data is retained by Google under its own schedule, and contact messages sit in an ordinary mailbox. Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data a business holds about you. For anything related to a message you sent us, get in touch and we'll handle it.

Children's privacy

This site is a construction planning tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Fonts & hosting

Fonts are self-hosted on our own domain; no font requests go to third parties. The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers see standard request logs (IP address, requested URL) as any web host does.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above is updated, and material changes will be noted on this page.
